Lately, I’ve been really into a mix of indie and alternative tracks that bring a chill yet energetic vibe to my day. Songs by artists like Phoebe Bridgers and Tame Impala have been on repeat, blending smooth melodies with thoughtful lyrics. 

I’m currently listening to the Singing Bowls playlist on Apple. It’s meditation-type music, which is great for my mornings, ha!

​@James  - yes indeed it was a lot of ‘proclaiming’ that went on during the walk… though on a couple of the trails, when there was an elevation of about 300 metres over 2km, i resorted to the child’s song “The Bear went over the mountain” as the refrain to get this set of old feet up that hill.

the pic below was part of the climb just mentioned..

​@Grace - going up hills like this were easier than coming down … all i am gonna say about that lol

from Porto to Vigo not too many - saw many of the same people day over day as coffee/beer stops allowed for some leap-frogging lol.. At Vigo, where a lot of people start to meet the minimum 100km distance to Santiago, there were more people on the trail .. and about Pontevedra, the coastal and interior trails come together so there were many more people - like the 200-250 (obnoxious) university students walking as a group with boom boxes blaring music through the forest until they had pushed their way in front of people … it was a good time to have a seat and breathe until I could no longer hear them and then restart lol.. 

Oh I cannot abide a boom box anywhere near nature ​@john.desborough! Sounds incredible overall though, nice that you can see some of the same faces in parts I bet there’s a good sense of community on the walk! 

Yesterday I went to Five Guys for lunch (btw thanks to ​@Gabolino for being my gateway to this utopian burger chain) and enjoyed listening to the tunes they had on. Turns out they have their own corporate playlist that each restaurant must abide by:

And for those who weren’t there, we once started our own shared Typeform Community Spotify playlist. There are some true bangers on there – maybe it’s time I gave this a refresh…

 

Ooh did not know this ​@James but I guess it makes sense, music really helps to create an experience and if you’re trying to generate the same experience over multiple venues it would make sense that they have a standard playlist. Love that it’s accessible to the public though! 

If a playlist is good, I always want to stay longer. I think that added to the reasons for some of my fav Barcelona haunts being the ones I always returned to! 

Let’s definitely revive the Typeform Community playlist - we need some laid back summer tunes to keep us going!

anything Bob Marley would be a good start to the summer list..
