OMG, can’t believe we’re letting Clark run away with this thing – he’s got better prediction skills than Paul the Octopus. I don’t even care if I win or not now (honestly :P) – I just want the winner to be a homo sapien. Thanks for keeping up with the fixtures and building all the typeforms ​@john.desborough and kudos to the canucks for their scintillating victory yesterday 🇨🇦

Results from the single round of 32 game yesterday: 

@james and Clark both picked Canada. (Clark predicted 3 goals to ​@James 4) but with a single goal, the daily crown goes to Clark

Clark and ​@James pulled one point further away from des and ​@louise_saville … yes, even though i was rooting for my Canadian team, I had predicted SA would win. i am very happy to lose the point in this pool.

Morocco in the next round won’t be easy ​@john.desborough but I predict the Canadian spirit will win through (at the risk of jumping ahead of myself on the predictions).

I’m starting to wonder if we should introduce some kind of handicapping system to help us defeat Clark? I do see him has having an unfair advantage in having:

a) immediate access to all the world’s football knowledge
b) nothing better to do with his time

Wow ​@john.desborough things are getting very interesting. I would say I let you catch me as my gift to you on your national day but that would be a lie. Honestly Clark is getting beyond a joke now, I’m starting to wonder if he’s part of some sort of FIFA conspiracy to fix the whole thing

i tend to wonder the same thing myself - but he has not asked for any peace prize yet…

haha. luckily I steered clear of the pub ​@john.desborough or my productivity levels would have hit rock bottom today. At I’m sure that would have given Clark even more reason to be smug (and yes, I do believe AIs have the capacity to be smug – in fact it seems to be hardwired into pretty much every model I use 😂)
