Residence location survey filled out by Guest Experience rep - best ideas?

I’m trying to figure out the best survey system for a guest experience rep at the front desk of a museum to use to capture where museum visitors are coming from.

One consideration is that sometimes there are parties that have guests from different locations.

We don’t need city specific, just region specific.

Right now, we have a list of the most common regions, then a prompt to fill in how many guests from the region, then a prompt to ask if you would like to record guests from another location, if yes logic that loops them back to the location question if they select yes. If no, survey ends.

Any other ideas to make this better? I’m trying to make it as easy as possible for our guest experience team, while also keeping the data as clean as possible.

Hi @RForbes_Remai Happy little Friday! I hope you’re having a lovely week so far. I think this, so far, sounds like the best idea. The only other thing I can think of offhand would just be to have one region in general for the guests to help them fill out the form as fast as possible. This would miss out on others in their party that are from other regions, but it might help increase your response rate.

@James @Grace @john.desborough any other ideas?

Hi @RForbes_Remai Happy New Year! I think I would agree with Liz, sounds like this is the best way. My only other thought was to have multiple selection for those parties that have people visiting from different regions, but then that might complicate collecting the number of people from each region so I guess it just depends what data is the most valuable for you.

@RForbes_Remai  - if you used a picture choice question that showed 3 or 4 ‘maps’ of regions and a question mark as an additional image, the user might be able to quickly see and select from the main regions - if they chose the question mark, you could take them to another question that asked for region to be entered or selected from a drop down, if you wanted to control the list a little better

That’s a fun idea!

To be clear, the survey is filled out by a guest experience staff member working the admission desk as part of the greeting script with visitors as they enter. It’s not filled out by the visitor themselves.

Oh! That makes it a bit easier, @RForbes_Remai . I think Des’s suggestion would be a good one because people do love a picture choice question! It makes it a bit less daunting to fill out the form with one. 😅
