Typeform-> Zapier -> Kajabi Custom Email Sequence

I built a typeform with 6 possible endings based on answers you give. Based on the ending you got, I also want you to recieve a custom email sequence sent from my Kajabi.

So I went and built a Zap with 6 branches, conditioned to trigger when your outcome title contains a certain word. Problem is, Zapier cannot identify that outcome title. What it does instead, is that it only reads the Outcome Title that appears after my last test submission. So, for example, if the outcome title from my last submission is “Apple”, it only goes through with the branch that has that end card, and the others fail. If I then submit another form that gives me the outcome “Pear”, then that branch work while the “Apple” one and the other 4 don’t. Please help

Hi @radusofronea

From your screenshots, it looks to me like everything has been set up correctly. I did a similar test with an Outcome Quiz which sent me a Slack message after every submission and I didn’t have any issues getting the different outcomes.

Can I ask how you are testing this? Maybe if you could share a screen recording where you show your set up, we could help you a bit better?

Thanks

Joyce

Hello! Thanks a lot for your answer! It seems like i can’t attach a video here, but I uploaded the screen recording in my drive here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1cIGxRAgTXHZn88FT__Vi6-uEI3Uf-b35/view?usp=sharing

@radusofronea - i am somewhat confused: the zap should trigger based on a form submission. and the result of that single submission will go along the appropriate path (you seemed to indicate this is so in the video)

they will be processed one by one coming in - if the result goes to the ending on the far right, as you showed initially, then that user would receive the sequence that is associated with that ending. the next user/submission might be along the nutrition path (to the left) you said  - that user would go into that sequence.

it shouldn’t fire off is two paths at the same time from the same response.

Hello John!

I understand what you are saying. I am still a beginner when it comes to Zapier and thought that the test run should show if the branches all work fine, I understand now that it’s not the case.

However, the problem is that I also tested the system manually and still, it doesn’t work. As a submitter, I only recieve the mail sequence if I complete the form and get the same result as the last submission I had. If my results are different and I get another end card, I don’t recieve the email sequence that I should based on said card.

So as an example, if I publish the Zap with my last submission being concluded with ending A, then I proceed to test it as a client and complete the survey and get ending B, I don’t get anything in my mail. Only if I get the A result.

I hope it makes sense what I am saying, if not, I’m more than happy to clarify further.

Thanks for sending that over @radusofronea

So when you are completing the survey, do you see all runs in the Zap Runs tab? Even the ones that failed should show and there and this might give you some more insights as to why they errored?Â
