Passing "Score Variable" to Zapier

I’m trying to pass the “Score” to my CRM from my Video Ask, but in Zapier, the score doesn’t seem to be passing through? Am I missing something? I know the score exists in Zapier for Typeform - so I assumed it would be there for Video Ask

Hi @AdamL8773, great question! 

I believe score isn’t currently listed in Zapier because it’s a newer feature in VideoAsk. In other words, we simply haven’t updated our Zapier integration yet to reflect this feature.

That being said, there is a workaround! Instead of using VideoAsk as the first step of your Zap, you can use the Webhooks by Zapier app. Choose ‘Catch Hook’ within the app, which will generate a link for you.

Then you can go into your videoask’s integrations panel and create a webhook (using that link).

By using webhooks, you’ll get more response data (including score) so that you can use those details in future steps of your Zap.

@andrew_videoask thank you for your thoughtful response (and video!)

So I got the webhook working, but for whatever reason now the webhook doesn’t seem to have one field for All_responses - this field however exists with the Zapier integration. Is it possible I’m missing something?

The easiest way to retrieve all answers from the webhook is to use the share_url field. This won’t give you the responses as a text field, but it will allow you to click the link and see every answer the respondent provided. 

Alternatively, you would either have to select each answer field individually or use custom code to iterate through each answer and aggregate them into one field.

Thank you! I’ve just created two different zaps for now while we’re in testing phase. Will go deeper upon a successful deployment (hopefully!)

May I suggest you switch from Zapier to Make/Integromat? I recently did it… cut down my cost and implemented better integrations. No affiliate here! hehe
