VideoAsk Iframe rendering issue

Aamir-Amento

Hi, We have implemented VideoAsk in our web application, but we are encountering an issue. Whenever a user uploads a VideoAsk video through their webcam, typically around 2 minutes in length, we receive the VideoAsk response via the API using the contact ID. The response provides us with an iframe URL, but when we render this iframe URL, it initially displays a blank screen with the message: "There seems to have been an error with recording or uploading this video/audio." However, after some time, the iframe URL starts showing the video correctly. Could you please advise on how to overcome this issue?

Hi @Aamir-Amento welcome to the community 😊

It sounds like there’s a delay in the video uploading. Have you noticed if the same thing happens in your videoask account when someone submits a video response? Or is it just via the API that it happens?

I’m going to ask our technical team if there’s anything that can be done here to speed things up. Will report back!

Hey @Aamir-Amento it can take a couple of minutes for the transcoding process to catch up and a video to appear so this is expected behaviour, unless it’s taking a lot longer - in which case let us know and we can investigate further!

Hi @Grace,

Previously, we didn't face any issues, but recently we have encountered a problem with videos uploaded via webcam. The maximum length for these videos is 2 minutes. We want to render user-uploaded videos without making the user wait. Can you suggest how we can handle this?

Thank you.
