Typeform automation 'extension' hack

For those who are trying out the Contacts and Automations features of Typeform, here’s a little hack I throw into my sequences, regardless of platform.

In this example, i have an automation that I created for the registration to a ‘challenge’, and is created inside Typeform. At the end of the sequence of emails that i have created, I put in a pause/delay of 30 days - the maximum you can set currently in Typeform - before a final email that I have called the ‘Delete this’ email.

I do this so that I have time to add additional emails into the automation before the user reaches the end. (Once they reach the end of your automation/sequence, they won’t get any emails after that point. Only folks who have not reached the end of the automation will get the appended email)

This way, if I launch this automation today, I have the ability to add additional emails into the sequence before the user ‘times out’ at the end of the automation.

This is a hack I learned and use with Kit (formerly Convertkit) for all my autoresponders - I usually set the delay to 1,000 days in Kit. Typeform’s max delay is 30 days at this time

Give it a try if you are checking out the Automations.
