Hi Folks

Typeform takes ~3sec to load question #1, which is results in a high bounce rate on our ads landing pages.

Does anyone know how we can get Tyepform to load instantly like this quiz: https://www.noom.com/lp/survey/weightLossGoal

Cheers

Dan

Hi @Dan Murphy Could you share the URL where the form is loading and/or where the form is embedded so we can test this? Thanks!

Thanks, @Dan Murphy ! It looks like there is other custom code on the page which could be interfering with ours. Could you try only adding the typeform code here to see if that speeds up loading?

Hey @Dan Murphy hope you’re well. Hopefully you saw the message from Liz here, let us know if that speeds things up or if there’s anything else we can help with 😊

Hey @Grace @Liz ,

We have same issue with our form, takes long to load.

Here’s a link: https://ia3eor7i112.typeform.com/feet-vacation

Appreciate any tips / guidance how to improve performance

Hey @itaybenzvi

I just opened the link and it loaded ok for me, I guess there was a 0.5 second delay but it was very brief and I was able to go through the questions without any issues. (Btw, love the typeform, had no idea there was more than one arch in your feet!)

Thanks for the quick response @Grace , I am basing my concern on the speed - performance report I got here:  https://gtmetrix.com/reports/ia3eor7i112.typeform.com/ifxwFIBx/

And on the fact that we are getting 80% drop rate on the first intro slide which usually correlates with page performance.

I wanted to mention also that we’re sending traffic from ads to this form which is why performance is a concern.

Hey @itaybenzvi hmm that’s surprising. Just wondering if you have tried contacting the support team yet, they might be able to offer more detailed assistance with the speed performance?

And in the meantime, perhaps there are other members here that have gone through something similar that might have some advice.

@itaybenzvi - i have had clients with similar questions but the reality is that the latency between a user and the form is not controllable - there are too many variables ‘on the wire’ that are outside of the control of the form: number of hops, bandwidth constraints, user device/network throttling..

every case is different but three second load time from half way around the world through firewall and virus checking software doesn’t seem unreasonable.. at least it’s less than the 5 second latency that 3 of my clients have..

thanks @john.desborough

The thing that beats me here is that we have other forms in which the welcome page gets a perfect “A” score and this one is getting an “E”.

I tried to reach out to support but they were not helpful at all, avoiding my question about the poor score the page gets, calling gtmetrix “not an industry standard” tool to measure performance of a page.

For a company that spends money on sending traffic to typeform, it’s critical that the welcome page will perform seamlessly and we are really frustrated with the situation.

Adding a report from google tools that show our basic welcome page in Typeform is not performing at all - https://pagespeed.web.dev/analysis/https-ia3eor7i112-typeform-com-feet-vacation/gmugdtmugo?form_factor=mobile

@mathio do you happen to have any suggestions for the embed here? I can’t see anything incorrect with the typeform code but possibly might need to remove some of the other code on the page? I could be totally wrong!

I dont think this is an issue with embed, but maybe rather with the loading screen displayed in the typeform? (Just a guess on my part.)

@mathio do you think changing out images might help? I can’t really think of anything else in the form itself that seems alarming.

I dont know 🤷‍♂️
