Tracking the URL of an embedded form?

Hi all, my team are looking to use Typeform to collect data on different pages of our website e.g. How useful did you find this page? with a 1 - 5 start rating. The issue I’m facing is how to track which page of the website each response is coming from.

The best solution I have for now is to use the utm_source however this would require setting a new embed for every page and writing a custom utm for each one. This is ok but a bit time consuming. Is there another way that a single embed can track the URL of the page it’s been completed on? I’ve turned on “Read URL parameters” which claims to read the whole URL but this doesn’t get pulled into the results page.

Any integrations that have this feature do let me know.

Thanks!

Thank you @Liz, I have passed this on to my web colleague to see if it will work as they know more about HTML. I’ve worked out we can use hidden fields and type a different UTM for each embed but I’m trying to find a way of not doing this as it’s a bit time consuming and we may want to use a feedback form across the whole website. I’ll see if this using something from the embed library can help pull data from the whole URL of the embedded page.

Let us know what they end up saying, @Gethin !

It’s not a fix I’m afraid, I passed the embed package on to them and the post you shared but they said the “transitiveSearchParams” is to track how users come onto the form from other pages of the website, which we already track thanks to Google Analytics. For now we will make manual embeds with the hidden fields utm source.
