New Features

I’d like to suggest two enhancements to improve the functionality and professionalism of Typeform for organisations working at scale:

1. Centralised/Reusable Lists

Please consider adding a feature that allows us to create centralised lists (e.g. staff names, schools, departments) that can be referenced across multiple questions or forms.

This would:

  • Reduce manual duplication across questions/forms

  • Make list updates much easier and less error-prone

  • Improve consistency in data collection across projects

Even a simple interface for managing named lists or referencing them across forms would be very welcome.

2. Token-Based URL Access (Parameter Obfuscation)

We often use hidden fields in URLs to personalise or track responses (e.g. ?name=John&email=john@example.com), but this approach makes personal data visible in the browser bar.

We’d like the ability to use a single token/code in the URL, such as:

https://example.typeform.com/to/form123?code=7g3uhf9sjfj8u2k1

Typeform would then map that code to the full data set (e.g. name, email, role) behind the scenes, keeping sensitive values hidden from view.

This would:

  • Improve privacy and data protection

  • Present a more professional link to participants

  • Allow us to integrate with internal systems that generate secure access tokens

Even basic support for referencing a dataset keyed by a code would be extremely useful.

Hey @JNR thanks so much for stopping by and taking the time to pitch these ideas so clearly and thoughtfully. I think both could be super useful. I’m forwarding these to our product team and we’ll be in touch with any updates. We’re planning our annual Typeforum event is around the corner where we'll be showcasing some new innovations and our future roadmap, and we’ll share details of this soon. Thanks again :)

Thank you for the suggestions — both are valuable and align with the needs of organizations working at scale. Centralised/reusable lists would indeed improve efficiency, reduce errors, and ensure consistency across forms. Token-based URL access is a strong privacy enhancement, offering cleaner links and better data protection. We'll share this feedback with our product team for consideration in future updates.

Hello, @JNR!

I’m Pol, Product Manager at Typeform.

Thanks for sharing your requests so clearly: it makes it easy to understand what you need and why.

I’m taking note of both requests and we’ll include them in our next roadmap discussion.

Meanwhile, for the first request, I suggest keeping a shared Google Sheet with your reusable lists and using our Import Questions feature. This gives you a centralized, up-to-date source of choices you can quickly import into Typeform.

I know this isn’t ideal, but it should help your team stay consistent in the meantime.

Thanks again for the feedback!
