When sending out my survey via email, is there anyway to see who submitted the response? It does me no good, professionally, if the responses are anonymous and I cannot see who filled out the survey. Please help!

@ElleHarri - if you are sending the survey out by email, you already have a leg up on understanding how to find out who is responding..

if you are asking them to enter name and email in your typeform then you have the mechanisms to track as much as anyone will enter valid details (we all know some folk won’t)

If you are not, you could set up the link you send to your recipients’ email with a hidden field attached to the end ie https://yourform.typeform.com/to/yourlink#email=xxxxx you would have to have your CRM system (or do it manually) replace the example text xxxxx  with the valid email address

by creating a Hidden Field in your typeform called ‘email’ that will be the holding spot for the email address being passed in, you automatically know who is submitting the form - these hidden variables are captured as part of the submission.

just a thought

Hi @john.desborough - how would we be able to access this hidden field in the survey results tab?

if you look in the results tab, you will see the following information for each submission - it includes variables you have created in that form and any hidden variables that you pass into the form (just remember to have made the ‘receiving variable’ under the hidden variable function)
