Do all email clients support surveys embedded in emails?

We are considering embedding a survey in emails sent from our marketing automation platform, but are curious if there are email clients that don’t support the Typeform embed. I saw a question here about having to tweak the layout for Outlook, but are there any email clients/inbox providers that won’t support the embed at all and will throw an error? Or is there any kind of fallback that’s presented if an email client does not support the embed? Thanks in advance!

Hello, most modern email clients support typeforms embedded in an email. Some (eg. Outlook desktop app) might have some minor UI issues but the survey will be still accessible.

However some users might not be able to read HTML emails for various reasons (which is a requirement for embedded typeforms). Depending on the tool you are using to create the email message you may be able to specify alternative body for plain-text emails - I’d suggest to include link to the form they can open in their browser.

Please note that embedding in email means only the first question will be displayed in the email message. To preserve the Typeform experience the typeform will open in browser when your respondents answer the first question from the email message.

Hi @CIO Happy little Friday! I would say the one client we see the most trouble with is Outlook. I haven’t seen issues with any others, but possibly @mathio might have better insights than I do.

Thanks @Liz will it ever flake out and just show an error and/or won’t function in Outlook (others) or that the dimensions/look is wonky but it will still show up and be responsive?
