Is it possible to have a two part hierarchical lookup option, so that when you select the parent option, the  relevant child options become selectable.

e.g. for Locality

Parent values would be England; Scotland; Wales; Northern Ireland

Child Values for England would be North England; South England

Child Values for Northern Ireland would be Belfast; Derry/Londonderry; Other NI

etc.

Hi @Ryan Johnston,

Unfortunately, there isn’t an option to have a two part hierarchical lookup option. You can use branching logic to skip respondents to the corresponding child values. You would need to create separate questions for each child value. For example, you would create a question to select the parent option, then based on the parent option selected you can skip respondents to their corresponding child value. More information on how to use logic can be found here

Thanks for the quick response.

I have used the branching option but am hitting an issue with Salesforce/Typeform mapping as Salesforce only allows one mapping per Salesforce field. I believe other integration tools such as one provided by Zapier may get around this.

Though I still think Typeform should think about implementing this type of hierarchical lookup field as I think users would find it beneficial.

Hey @Ryan Johnston,

We do have a new Salesforce integration where you can create your form while you integrate with Salesforce. I believe you can map multiple Typeform questions to the same Salesforce field. Here is the Salesforce FAQ and the installation set up article. You do need a Growth Custom plan for the integration though.

I haven’t tried Zapier with Salesforce but that might be a good workaround!

I can pass your feedback along to our product team for a hierarchical lookup field and I agree that other users would like this feature as well.
