Hubspot always shows direct traffic for specific forms

Recently, we've been having a problem with some forms always showing the marketing source as direct traffic. Maybe someone has an idea what the problem could be?

Our Typeform account is connected to Google Tag Manager and Hubspot.

Under Source Tracking, "Yes, I do consent" is ticked, but "Yes, I need to embed this Typeform" is not. Basically, we have not embedded any typeforms, but use the "Share" link of the typeforms. The linking website has both Hubspot Tracking and Google Analytics.

Hi @vc_marketing No worries! One thing to note is that if a respondent has cookies turned off, it won’t be able to track source information. There isn’t anything you can do about this since it’s a browser setting the respondent controls (and if they’re in Europe, part of the GDPR regulations).

Hi @vc_marketing Happy Tuesday! If you are sending the link directly to your respondents, then “Direct Source” is correct. If you’re embedding it on your website or sharing through another method, do you mind sharing more about how your respondents are accessing your form?

Hey @Liz

Usually you get to one of our pages via Google ads or social media. There you click on a button that links to a typeform, for example this one: https://bit.ly/3zm6mSN

Normally, the title of the typeform would be displayed in Hubspot through the integration as a conversion page. However, this does not always work recently.

Hi @vc_marketing Is the typeform embedded into the button (ex, a popup)? Or is it just redirecting?

Hey @vc_marketing! How are you doing today?

Make sure to give us more details about your integration. Is your form embedded into the button or just redirecting?

Wishing you a great day ahead!

@Gabi Amaral @Liz sorry, did not get any reply-notification. Our forms are just redirecting. But this cannot be the reason why, some forms do have tracking information, others don’t. The form settings are the same.
