Response number surpassing response limit


Hello,

This is my first time using Typeform and I upgraded my account to Business so that I could set my form response limit, and I set it to six. Each of my form submissions include a payment.

However, I have had nine responses (and submissions) which is a big issue for me, as each responder is requested to pay a substantial sum of money - and so I’ve had a few extra responses and payments to my requirements. The last surplus submission couldn’t pay (luckily), I’m wondering if that’s connected to the issue?

How is this possible? Did I miss something? It’s very unprofessional for me to be having to refund people.

Hi @WovenFarewellCoffins Happy Monday! Thanks for stopping by the community. 

The response limit will start the moment you turn this feature on. So, if you already collected responses prior to turning on the feature, you’ll want to set the response limit to 6 + the number of responses you already collected. 

Hopefully this helps, but let me know if this doesn’t solve the issue!


Thank you for the clarity, I see my mistake now - I set the limit when I had already had three responses.

Could you give official feedback on my behalf if it's possible, to make that clearer on the response limit settings? I'm sure other people will have and will have the same mistake from not knowing that part of the settings :-)
