What does the first column mean when you export the results in a spreadsheet?

Hi everyone!

When you download the results of a survey in spreadsheets, an alphanumeric code appears in the first column. The name of that column is a hashtag. What is this code? Can it be related to the identity or IP of the person who responds? I have to do an anonymous survey for a client, and he is concerned about the privacy of the responders.

Many thanks!!

Hi @Incipy Great question! This is the Response ID, which is the unique number we assign to each response. You can read more about this and the other data in your responses here

I hope this helps!

@Liz is there a way to remove that Response ID from showing in the spreadsheet when you export it?

@cherdonp You would have to manually remove it, as it isn’t possible to choose which data appears on the spreadsheet upon exporting it. 😓
