Can I randomise the results of an outcome quiz

I am creating a quiz as a fun way to seperate a group of students into teams. Though it is important that it is an even spread/ distribution (let me know if you need more clarity). Can I force results or even randomise results? So exactly ¼ receive each of the results.

Hello @rileygrah! Welcome to the Typeform Community! 👋🏼

Yes, it'd be good if you could give us more info on how you'd like to separate the groups. Maybe you can create a personality test and depending on their results, you create the groups.

Have you read our article on outcome quizzes? You can also check some of our templates to get some ideas!

Looking forward to hearing back from you. Have a nice week!

I was thinking of doing something like creating a rule associated with their first name “If *name* starts with R then send to something …” not sure. Any ideas are appreciated

Thanks, Gabi

I want 100 people to take the quiz and be separated equally into four groups. The quiz is a fun gimmick in a way. A cover for the group separation.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

@Liz - there is nothing that i can think of inside Typeform that would allow for allocating folks equally into groups

I would tend to do that with Google Sheets connection and then using some ‘random formula’ to select the entries and put them into groups. - ie first row might get a generated ‘1’ in an extra column (not a typeform answer column) and then the next row would inherit the cell above + 1 etc.. so that you could have folks numbered 1-4 in that column then sorted into teams based on this ‘count’ column.

the random separation into teams would happen based on when the 100 people did the quiz..

not very scientific but what i could think of at the moment
