Creating a Range Calculation

I would like to be able to see if someone stayed within 3% of their target calories.

For instance…

Q1. What was your Target Calories?

and they answer 1,200

Q2. What was your weekly average calories?

and they answer 1,800

Then the type form lets them know if they were within 3% of their target calories. Depending on if they were or weren’t within their target range they would be directed to a different landing question.

Is this possible? if so how would I go about doing this? I’m new to this whole thing! Thank you for your help!

@Liz - sure.. push my logic brain button first thing in the morning..

here’s a sample quiz i put together to test this out:

questions:

i used a range on number questions to ensure that there were non 0 entries

variables list:

logic rules:

note that in this example, i was only concerned with evaluating the high end to see if the calorie count was under the high mark (target * 1.03) .. you can extend this by putting in the logic calcs to see if the actual calories fall between the high and low variables.

hope this helps

@Liz - nothing like a challenge that one of the voices in my head will NOT let fall to the wayside in the middle of the night lol

though i would wonder if the 3% range is good range, especially since not all calories are created equal… just a thought from a guy who loves his bagels and eats extra veggies to offset any bagel he eats.. lol
