I’m putting together a form where people can add their donations amounts, which would be any amount they are comfortable with. How can this be written so the amount will be shown on the payment page?

Then, in the number question, you’ll set up your logic something like this:
This will then add that to the price, which will be the amount shown on the payment question.
One thing to note is that the payment question requires at least a .50 payment, so it might be worth adding 1 as the minimum:
