Typeform ending doesn't redirect to choosen URL on desktop version when embedded with wix

yes, we use wix as a website builder.

Ah, that might be the issue, @Jakob . Wix has quite a few restrictions on the code you can add to their website. Are you adding the standard code (versus the full-page embed)? If so, I’d contact their support to see if they have any restrictions with embeds directing to other URLs. 

But why does it work then on the mobile version @Liz ? The direction leads obviously to a “thank you”-page (for better tracking), which is the same main-URL.

we’re still in contact with wix, but they seem to see the problem on the side of Typeform. So we are not one step closer to the solution unfortunately. 

This issue is not solved, even if it’s marked as solved.

I’m still pretty sure that the problem is on typeform’s side tbh, as we tested to embedd the typeform now on different html editors and we have everywhere the same issue. The issue is there as well when we use a button on the ending screen of typeform: If you click on the button on mobile, everything works, if you click on it on desktop version, nothing happens.

The support of wix sent me a screenshot of the same error message we receive as well (from Google Chrome Developer Console).

Hi @Jakob I asked our support team about this, and this is what they told me: 

The issue is that, as explained in the Wix support article, the page / HTML code running inside the HTML block doesn't have access to the external blocks or your page. That means that we won't be able to redirect the page since we can't reach it.

This is related to how Wix’s product functions, and there is no way we could change this even if we wanted so it doesn't look like you will be able to use the redirect to a new page inside Wix with Typeform embed code.

 I know that’s not the best of news, but hopefully it gives some more clarity.

I’m having an issue where Typeform won’t redirect when embedded in my Wix site. I’m attempting to have it redirect to another Typeform, but instead it stays locked on whichever screen comes before the redirect and freezes up. I’ve tried just about everything I can think of.

I’ve found a fix! I think. 

So if you share your typeform as a link. 

Currently that’s the “Share The Link” option in typeform. 

Go to WIX, create an iframe area, but then add it as a ‘WEBSITE ADDRESS’, not as Code. 

That works now when I tested it. It directly to my URL I assigned.
