VideoAsk transcript to NVivo?

Anyone have any experience exporting VideoAsk transcripts to NVivo (for qualitative analysis)?

Hey @mr twofish thanks for your reply!

Totally understand that it’s worth pursuing NVivo if you already have licenses etc.

You can definitely export your videoask responses to a CSV file and it will transcribe any video or audio answers that you collect, so hopefully that would be compatible and help to minimise the number of steps in your flow.

When you start receiving responses to your videoask you’ll notice the Export button will appear here:

If you click there you can directly export to CSV.

Otherwise you could set up an integration with something like Google Sheets to collect responses, but sounds like if they need to be formatted in a certain way CSV is the best option.

Let us know how you get on, curious to see how the flow goes!

Hey @mr twofish thanks for stopping by with your question ðŸ˜Š

We’ve had a quick look at trying to integrate VideoAsk with NVivo and it looks like it’s not supported within Zapier or Make, it might be possible to do via webhooks and build your own integration if there’s access to the NVivo API.

Will wait to see if anyone else has tried setting up something like this - does it need to be NVivo specifically that you export to?

Thanks @Grace, appreciate the research! Yes, mostly interested in the NVivo integration as our company already has several paid NVivo licenses and SMEs / frequent users.

And setting aside the API integration issues, I’m just trying to get a sense of how many steps would currently be required to go from generation of a transcript in videoask to export of the transcript in a format that NVivo can read and analyze. NVivo requires plain text (. txt) in comma- or tab-separated variable format (CSV or TSV) or rich text or Word documents. Does VideoAsk produce transcripts in these formats?
