My form requires a date that most of the times will be the current date (the date when the form was filled).
It is important that my form can be filled quickly so is there a way that I can preset the date question with the current date but still allow the user to change it if necessary?

I agree , having some default in fields would help speed up forms and minimize wrong/empty data.
I agree that this is a pretty big miss for Typeform to not have:
I was going to use Typeform as a “better UX” than an Asana form for our retainer clients, but since the date field is quite bad (they don’t even get a dropdown calendar it’s just typing in dates 😬 and I never need to ask the year).
