Question

Logic works when previewing the form created via the API, but it fails during live testing.

We make use of the TypeForm API to create our forms automatically. The unusual thing that occurs is that logic that works perfectly fine when previewing the form and testing the questions does not work on the live form.

The only way we are solving this currently, is to manually remove the logic for the relevant questions and recreate them. The other unusual thing is that it’s not all logic based questions that behave like this but only a specific few questions at the start of each of our forms.

We have confirmed the logic is set-up correctly, checked online for other users experiencing the same but have to date not found a solution.

Hi @Jacqui Young Oh wow that’s odd. Is this happening with every form you add logic to via the API? Or only certain forms/certain logic?

This is happening to every form that we are creating with the API.

Our forms have a fairly generic intro section which is reproduced across different forms and it’s only the questions in the intro which is affected by this.

Hi @Jacqui Young Apologies for the delay - I was recently OOO. Do you mind sending a video of what you’re seeing? Or, if you haven’t already, our technical support team might be the best help for this. You can contact them from your account email here

Hi @Liz ,

I think we managed to crack it. Turns out if creating via the API you have to go in and publish the form for all the changes to be on the live link.

Thanks.
