"Number" type questions not allowing to put decimal

Hi Everyone,

I set up one of my question as a “number” question, but I have noticed that my users can’t insert a number with decimal. Ex: 53,4 - Typeform will only allow rounded number like 53.

To avoid this, I have changed the question type to text. But I am using this value in a googlesheet (reported automatically via Zappier) and as it is a text type question, I can’t do calculation with that value in my googlesheet.

does anyone know how to allow decimals in number type questions?

Thanks a lot!

Deborah

in Google Sheets, you can use the VALUE() function to covert your text  into a number.

ie if you have text string “826” sitting in cell A4, you can put the following in cell A5 → =value(A4)

and it will return the numeric value in cell A5
