Help! followup email will not allow editing


Can someone help me with this? Typeform will not let me edit the follow up auto email for some reason. It wont tell me why. Is anyone else running into this? If I cannot get this fixed today, my client will likely cancel their typeform account and find another platform. Please help !

We also ran into this issue.

The response I got was that typeform have had to disable this feature as the had been an increase in users misusing this feature.

A day or 2 later, I got another email saying they had re-enabled the feature for my account but it still appears to be locked(maybe i just need to leave it a little longer).

Might be worth a message to support though to see if they can unlock it for you too.

Hi @Neolé Inc. 

All you can do is message support and they will re-enable it on your account.

Thats what I did and I now have access again.

Emailed customer services who said “We will keep your request open on our side and work on enabling your Follow Ups feature as soon as possible” 

This has been very poor handling by Typeform. This security measure should have been fixed and is false advertising as new customers will want to use this feature but can’t.

Any new typeforms we create will have their default greetings and endings, which are very unprofessional to send out.

@rr2021 I had the same response initially. Give it a day or 2 and you should recieve another email saying that they have re enabled it.

We have encountered the same issue - how to reach ‘support’ to enable this for my account please?

The way they rolled this out is insulting. I can see disabling it for new or problem users, but to do it on a blanket basis without due warning is not good service.

@Elling Lien I believe it was a security issue and people were abusing it, the easiest way to nip this in the bud it to stop people using alltogether.

Personally, when it comes to security risk, I’d prefer them to take this approch, you never know how much damage someone can do until its too late.

I understand its frustrating but I’m sure you’d be even more annoyed if the worst happened and the whole site when down, or your data was stolen, or someone used you account to send malicious things.

@Yea I dont actually work for typeform or have any affiliation to them so I cant say unfortunatly.

All I can say is wait until you recieve an email from them giving you a reason why it was disabled and then wait another day or two and check again. Thats basically what I did.

Other than that I can’t say much I’m afraid.
