Recently, I posted a question here  that videos, in a VideoAsk, don’t play automatically on iPhones that use the Chrome browser. The implication is that the user needs to click ‘Play’ every time they move to the next step (in addition to clicking to submit their answer to contnue to next step). This compromises the user experience too much, especially in steps where the question is a text overlay, over a Pexels of Giphy. In such instances, the user doesn’t even see the question until they click ‘Play’.

I’ve decided to stop using VideoAsk and switch to Typeform until there’s a solution to this issue. In Typeform I will only integrate video in some steps and rely more heavily on text in other steps. If the user only clicks ‘Play’ ocassionaly, it would be OK.

My question is, if I cancel my ‘Brand’ subscription to VideoAsk and move to Typeform’s ‘Plus’ subscription, what will happen to my ViseoAsks? i.e. What functionality will they lose?

 

  • Will their number of steps be limited to 3 steps?
  • Will my branding disappear and the VideoAsk branding replace it?

If so, will all these ‘missing bits’ return automatically, when I renew my ‘Brand’ subscription to VideoAsk, in the future?

Hey ​@Amos sorry to hear that this issue with needing to press play is becoming too much of a blocker for you. 

If you decide to downgrade your VideoAsk plan, anything you’ve already created will still be in your account but some features may stop working, so I would recommend replacing anything public facing before you downgrade to limit any issues for respondents. 

All the responses you’ve collected previously will still be in your account until you delete them. So can keep your account “resting” on the free plan and then pick it up again later if you need to.
