Questions and discussions about building your typeform

Hi everyone,Ive created an outcome quiz with multiple choice questions. I’ve connected all A responses to outcome A, B responses to outcome B and C responses to outcome C but it still doesn't work. Can I get help please. Thank you.
I would like to create a survey that branches as follows:The survey contains a multi-question section that asks respondents to fill in short text answers in five seperate text fields. Let’s call the text fields: 2a*, 2b, 2c, 2d and 2e. (Only 2a is required)The next couple of questions asks respondents to judge their own answers to the previous set of questions. Let’s call those questions 3a*, 3b, 3c, 3d and 3e. (Only 3a is required). 3a calls back what the respondent wrote in answer to 2a, and vice versa. This is where it gets complicated for me: Respondents are not all likely to write something in all five text fields (2a->2e) . So in many cases, some of those text fields will be left empty, and I’d not like to subsequently recall empty information and ask respondents to judge that. What I would like is the following:I’d like question 3b to show only if the respondent entered tekst in 2b. Otherwise the survey should skip to question 4. Subsequently, I’d only like question 3c to show
HiI want to use hidden fields values and prepopulate name and email fields on my form. How is it possible?
HiMe and a colleague are testing out typeform, to see if it will do what we need it to.When we try to make some simple multi-question-pages, We can’t set up the logic for “If question 1 = “Yes” then do..” When we i try to build a form without multiple-question-pages, it all seems to work. Does multiple-question-page block the logic module from reading the questions? Or are we doing something wrong? Trying on different computers, on different networks, both having the same error.
I have a 9 question quiz that has 9 possible results, each result corresponding to an individual question. Is there a way to make a quiz that will give each individual user multiple outcomes based on each question? The questions do not have a correct/incorrect answer, rather yes/no responses that categorize users.Example: User answers “yes” to 3/9 questions, they then get a page that has 3 results/outcomes. Secondary requests:It would be nice if the results page could have an image and description to accompany each result for each user. To start with, I had this quiz at 18 questions, with 4 questions each corresponding to 2-3 results, and the answer options being yes/no/often/sometimes. I made it simpler just to try and get it done. But it would be ideal if I could set it up so that answering “often” to questions 1 and 2 would still give you result #1. Or if answering “yes” to either question 3 or 4 would give you result #2 even if you said “no” to the other. Please explain like I’m 5.
Hi everyone! Wondering if anyone here knows if there’s an option on the ‘Date’ question type to be limited to just MM/YYYY or if other parts of the date format that can be removed as well?Thank you!
I want to create an outcome quiz that has 7 questions and will have 12 different product options to recommend. I understand the outcome quiz and have assigned unique answer choices for each product recommendation. However, what happens if someone does not choose the answer choices I have assigned for each product end card?
Will typeform implement any adjustments to help companies stay compliant? Most importantly: will there be a way to send an API post before submitting the form to dynamically populate (fetch) the name of the lead buyer in the terms in order to be complaint? Additional areas I am curious as to how Typeform will support for clients to stay complaint / if anyone has feedback: Allowing for post / retrieval to systems before form is submitted to retrieve who the buyer is once the form information has been captured An easy way for the consumer to provide their signature or agreement, such as a checkbox or e-signature with the marketing partners disclosed Automatic documentation to prove the user’s consent. Some companies like Trusted Form offer playback, is this something Typeform will support or how else will they ensure that the consent captured by users is compliant with standards? Relying on the TF results page / Webhook submissions may not suffice..
Hello everyone,I'm Darshan Hiranandani, working on a Typeform where I need to calculate the area of a garden based on length and width inputs. Here's the flow:Step 1: Ask for the garden's length. Step 2: Ask for the width and apply a rule (multiply the width by the length). Statement: Display the area (e.g., "The area of your garden is - @area").After calculating the area, I want to categorize the result into "small" and "large" gardens, but I can't seem to find a way to store the calculated figure for use later in the form.I’ve been struggling to figure out how to return and reuse this calculation. Can someone confirm if this can be done in Typeform? Or, if not, do you have suggestions for another platform or workaround to achieve this?Would appreciate any insights or advice on this!RegardsDarshan Hiranandani
I don’t see where there is a way to just create an introduction video that doesnt’ ask for an answer. Same for a ‘thank you’ type video.
For Lead gen companies: In light of the FCC's upcoming one-to-one consent rule, which will take effect on January 27, 2025, what steps are companies who use typeform taking into place? There seem to be some limitations currently with typeform and no updates or mention from their end on the new laws, so curious to get feedback from the rest. Similar to this post:
I want to include this question: What percentage of your income comes from:Option 1: _%Option 2: _ %Other: _ %I can’t find a suitable question type -- is there something I’m missing, or a workaround I can try?(I considered a matrix type question but that question type seems to always look awful on mobile)
It’s in a shared workspace where I and the two other members are all owners. I created the workspace, if that helps. The form in question has no integrations set up. I get this message when I try to delete the Typeform: As you can see, I’ve typed the name of the Typeform completely accurately, but can’t press the delete button. Am I doing something wrong?? Thanks in advance for your help.
Hey everyone, I’m working on a form and I need to add logic to send users to an end screen based on a hidden field value. The respondents should still go through the rest of the form first, but the end screen should be determined by the hidden field after completing the questions.Currently, I’m only seeing options to either send users to the next question or directly to the end screen, but the hidden field seems to be affecting the starting logic instead of the end.I already have other conditional logic in place that routes users to different questions, but now I need help figuring out how to set the final end screen based on the hidden field value. Does anyone have suggestions on how to implement this? RegardsDarshan Hiranandani
The background image I uploaded for my form shows perfectly in editor but disappears on the published form and instead is just a solid white background.
I've created a Typeform that allows users to select from 13 challenges. After submission, they see a "tally" screen. I'm looking to improve the formatting:Layout: Can I organize the 13 areas into multiple columns for better readability? Empty Selections: How can I remove the long dashes for areas where no selection was made? Highlighting "Yes" Selections: Is there a way to visually highlight the "yes" selections, beyond simply displaying the word "yes"? Dynamic Follow-up Emails I'd like to send automated emails to users who've indicated interest in specific challenges. Each email would include a link to a relevant landing page. However, with multiple potential challenge selections, I'm unsure how to dynamically generate personalized emails. Are there any strategies or tools to automate this process?
Is it possible to show a question only if the user answered another question in a certain way. I am familiar with the logic functionality. My question related to having 12 different questions that I only want answered if the user clicks to answer them on a certain multiple choice page. The user can click multiple. E.g. the user clicks option 1, 3, and 5 or only clicks option 2 or clicks non. In the first case I only want the questions for 1, 3, and 5 asked. In the second case, I only want the questions for 2 asked. In the 3rd case I don’t want any follow up pages. I am aware of the logic fucntionality BUT it would be extremely challenging to set up this rather simple scenario. Much easier implementation would be if there were just a show if feature. Is there a way to do that?
Hello, I'm experiencing several problems with a Typeform (professional subscription) that I created. This Typeform is used as a tutorial to guide my customers through an administrative process. Here are the errors encountered: 1) The description text displays duplicates. I don't understand where this is coming from? Even after deleting the text and reinserting it, the problem persists. 2) I've added animated GIFs, but they appear fixed, like simple PNG images. What can I do? 3) When my question has only one answer, the box is already checked. I'd like it to be unchecked so that the customer can check it himself. How can I disable the predefined checkbox? Thanks for your help
Hi there! I have created a personality test on Typeform. I have added score values to each answer for each of the 50 questions. Now I'm trying to set up my results pages so that the user is taken to the appropriate ending depending on the scores received for 5 variables. The variable that scores the highest has its own end page. But I am unsure how to set this up. For example: IF VC_score > EC_score AND VC_score > AS_score AND VC_score > RD_score AND VC_score > SG_score THEN jump to VC Results Page. The next 4 endings would be similar formulas, just replacing the initial variable until I have a results page (ending) for EC, AS, VC, and RD.Any advice is very appreciated! Shannon :)
Hello :) I'm looking for someone who could help me. I'm not very good at computers.I'll explain my problem to you. I have a question called: What are your needs? People can respond to several needs and depending on it redirects to other questions. When the person chooses for example that "brain", it does not pose a problem and it goes to the questions of "brain". On the other hand, when she chooses "brain", "energy" and other needs, it only takes into account brain issues and not the rest. I don't know if you understood. But that's my main problem.Thank you very much 🙏🏼
Trying to create a followup wherein i send results to participants and I’m getting the following error -- when will this be updated? any workarounds? Email editing temporarily disabledThe ability to edit email content is temporarily disabled to prevent misuse. In the meantime, you can set up Zapier and/or Slack integrations. If you have further questions please contact support.
Is there a way to capture a user’s country and city using a drop down option without having to add all the countries and cities manually? I was hoping to create something similar to how the phone number drop down works but without the phone number and once country is selected it would prompt the user to choose from a drop down of cities within the country selected. Is this possible? Any workarounds to capture this info for easy reporting? Thanks!
I cannot for the life of me find where to change the layout. I don’t want the entire page to be an image, I want the image on one side and the text on the other. Please tell me how to do this..
Hi,I have created a typeform that generates a fairly complex email notification for respondents. I need to use this as a master template for many events but when I duplicate the form it does not also duplicate the email. Is there a way of being able to duplicate the form maintaining all settings? Thanks!Ella
