Build your typeform

Hello experts, created my first Typeform questionnaire. Everything’s fine except for the formatting of the intro text preceeding the first item: all the text is centered where I’d like it to be left justified and (maybe) using an intro image but, unless I’m totally obsolete, I can’t figure out where and how to change text justification and add an image. Thx for helping out. Phil

I’m a Mortgage broker and i’d like my clients to enter the house prices as part of my questionnaire, how can I change the number format to a monetary / currency format?

Hi,I’d like to have respondents rank responses to an issue from most to least efficient in a quiz and assess their responses but so far, dont see how to do this with the ranking question.Any ideas ?Thanks.

I'm building a multi-score personality quiz that assesses different parts of the personality through a series of different sections (question groups). In the first question group, each answer a user chooses is set up to add “1” to a numerical custom variable. At the end of this question group, I want to calculate which of 8 numerical custom variables has the highest numerical value, in order to score which “type” they are—and then store the result in a custom text variable to use to display to the user with recall (@).I understand how to set up custom variables and have many set up, and I have the proper if/then statements set up inside Branching Logic to store 1 point inside the proper variable based on their answers. Branching Logic seems like the only place to calculate using custom variables, but when I try to add rules that compare a custom variable to another custom variable, I'm blocked by the fact that I can only enter numerical values for any kind of compare or calculation… I

Hi guys,We have several questions with multiple choice answers in our form. We want it to work in a way that when the user clicks on their desired answer in the multiple choice selection, it will lead them to an external URL. We can’t seem to hyperlink any of these answers though. If we can hyperlink these answers, we would very much appreciate the help!If we can’t hyperlink these, would anyone have a workaround?

I’m asking a multiple choice question about job preferences, with 10 options. For each option chosen by the participant, I’d like to follow-up with an open question. Since there is only a Go-to-question filter, it seems to be impossible to ask multiple follow-up questions based on the choices made. Am I right?  I’ve used other tools where it was possible to mark the follow-up question with a “show if” filter. Stating that the follow-up question is asked only if the item from the question before was chosen. Thank you for your help in advance, Bill

The settings for Questions, Design and Logic are not available when I try to design a form. Teh training video has these options. How do I get access to Questions, Design and Logic settings

What is the file size limit for automatic translations?

In my survey, I have set up a hidden field called 'surveyflag'. There is a multi choice in the survey. My question is: Can I set a value for each of the two options, such as Option A = 1, Option B = 2, and then pass the value to the hidden field when the survey is submitted?

Hello all!I was wondering if there is any way to make the keyboard of a mobile device pop-up automatically when selecting the dropdown in a typeform. It’s a bit unintuitive to click again on the top bar where it says type and people might end up just scrolling through the 100 options in the dropdown. Thanks!

Hi there, I’m trying to create a Survey Evaluation that requires the Advanced logic using the Branching and Calculations. At the end, I’d like the score variable to lead to a specific Ending, in which the Ending will have the users score and interpretation of the score.  For example, a score of 20 from our survey would lead to Ending A, which will tell the user what that score means. Is this possible? I see that it’s possible under simple logic, but I can’t figure out how to do it with Advanced logic function.ThanksCal

Since 20 February 2025 all the background images from my surveys are not being displayed when I view any forms, all background images have disappeared when viewing the form

Hey Typeform Community. Hoping you have a solution to my problem. I’m a loooonnnnggggggg time Typeform user… years and years. So I’m extremely familiar with the UI and how it works. I’ve added 2 or 3 fields to a form, published it, but the new fields are not showing up on the embedded form on my site. I even deleted the first code snippet, and started over with a new embed… still nothing.  For the life of me I can’t figure it out. Anyone have an idea of what the issue could be?‘That which we don’t know will hurt us.’ - Jim Rohn Thank you in advance. Brian

I’ve created a survey that scores the respondents based on their answers, using a custom variable and branching. While the info is being collected properly, I’d like to use the ending slide to show their aggregate score. How can I insert the variable total slide score to the end so it gives the respondent their score?

Is there a way to use the "Lead" event an event of our choosing instead of "Typeformsubmit" on the FB integration? We don’t want use TypeformSubmit as it shows up in the reports. Sometimes it’s confusing to clients

Hi, so we have 8 different typeforms across a lot of pages on our website.  For example “Book a demo”-typeform. But that typeform is in a couple of places on the site. What I want to see in the results are from which URL the respondent came without creating an own Typeform for this. So if person A fills a “Book a demo”-typeform in page A i want to extract that URL to results. And the URL for Person B who fills out a “Book a demo”-typeform in page B.How can I do that? Best regards,Tomi

Hi,One of our Admin users can no longer see the options of “Move To” and “Delete” from the dropdown menus in the console. We have tried clearing their cache but the problem still persists. This is on Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge.Any suggestions? Thanks,Andy

I am working on a Health Care project at Stanford and would like to create a Health Care Form for Patients - with multiple Sections.  We need to gatther the usual Medical Clipboard Data: Basic Contact Information, Insurance Information, Famly and Caregiver Information, General Health Information including Blood Type.  And also we need to collect Disease/Condition Specific Information - with checklists and fill-in the blanks descriptive fields. For patients with multiple Chronic Conditions, like Diabetes + Heart Issues + Parkinsons etc there will be different checklists for each condition.   We need to be able to select which Conditions for which we  present the right form.  We aim to have each of these sections able to be filled out and displayed in Typeforms.  This needs to be done recursively - editing, adding to and updating existing Patient Information.  And we aim to have a Patient’s Typeform display and work in Crbmble - so we can See and Manage a Patient’s progress - without cre

Hi,I’m new here, so thanks in advance for your help!I want to do a survey, as follows: I have 45 questions, each question has two possible answers, and the respondent has to pick one of the two possible answers. Each answer falls into one of six categories. However, when respondents choose an answer, I don't want them to know the category that answer falls into, so I want to assign a category to each of the answers, but have that category be invisible to the respondent. Then, after the respondent has responded to all 45 questions, I want to be able to tally up how many answers fall into each of the six categories, for that respondent. How do I do that in Typeform? And is that capacity available at the Basic level? Thanks!

Notifications were once easy to find and execute.  Now, I can’t find the path even with searching the community.  Where the hell have follow-ups/notifications gone?  This is the most basic thing that I want to do and it is completely obscured to me.  Please make notification/follow-ups an OBVIOUS option somewhere logical an intuitive at the top level of the Typeform design process.  I just wasted 20 minutes searching for them.

When I do the preview for the typeform below I can see the progress bar, and progress bar is turned on. However when I view the share link, the progress bar is gone? Any thoughts on why? Thanks,Tom https://tom464801.typeform.com/to/AR2ZFkv6

Hello,Is there a way of adding a voiceover audio track to a question?I am designing a survey for a user group where English may not be great - I wanted to have the question written in English , but an option to hear an audio translation?Let me know if this is possible.thanks - Nick

We have callers who call respondents and then record their answers.  We do not want them to answer the form directly.  Can we use typeform with this method?

Hi everyone,I’m trying to build a diagnostic tool with Typeform and I wonder if I’m trying to achieve a bit too much.I have 9 categories I’d like people to assess themselves on and then compare the results with each of the 9 categories. Each of these 9 categories (with 5 questions in each) would then have to be separately scored. As I understand Typeform allows only one score per survey? I am aware of “Redirect on completion” but I’m on a Basic account and just want to make sure it will actually do what I need before I upgrade. I would then need to link 9 separate surveys to each other? However, the key for me would be to then put these 9 scores next to each other (visual data would be nice but text is fine). Ideally instantly for the person to view on the screen or could also be an automated email/PDF option.Has anyone built something like this with Typeform + any other tools? Google Sheets + Zapier + etc ? I’m a bootstrapping startup so have to cheaply hack this together :) Thanks in a
