Build your typeform

I have finished my typeform and clicked publish. It seems working because the botton is not fully colored. The problem is when I try to embed the form in my website. It does not show anything.

I have a question where I use the #number field. The user can enter a number between 0 and 28. Can I add the answer straight to the score?The other option is of course to use the “Branching and calculations” and say if the answer is 1 add 1, if the answer is 2 add 2. But is there a smarter way when the answer already is a number?

I am trying to publish a survey which has 8 questions and 2 statements. It won’t allow me to publish because I need to remove the ‘unlimited questions’ feature. I have looked through settings and cannot understand how to do this. Thanks, Katie

I put a survey together several months ago, with the help of the redoubtable JOHN DESBOROUGH of Ottawa. He was more help in a one-hour Zoom hand-hold than the whole Typeform back office put together over a month. So I am (a) eternally grateful for his support and (b) narked I can’t find the post I made at the time which bigged him up (sincerely!) for his expertise, generosity and kindness.I came back today to copy out the code and settings etc which enabled me to collect people’s identities and then use the data acquired to personalise questions with firstnames.Congratulations. It’s all gone. Don’t know how Typeform can claim they’ve made the UI easier, it wasn’t hard before. But all this hidden field stuff and utm source stuff has disappeared off the face of the Earth… a bit like Facebook apparently. Ain’t broke? Don’t fix it. Fix the things that are a bug bear, like the ability to give false email addresses… I cannot even begin to see where to start to replicate this.

We want to show a different image based on prior user selections or a hidden field that is passed to the survey. Is there a way to do this?Thanks,John

Hi, I cannot find “Question Group” in the create a question drop-down list. Its supposed to be the last option in the menu but its not there. Does anyone know what I can do?

Hiya, for a research questionnaire, I wish to randomise multiple branches to get all a similar amount of answers. In other words, after an introduction, a user is branched to one of the four groups of questions, before coming back to joint final questions: how can users be branched randomly?A possible solution can be to offer a required multiple choice “Please choose one of the following digits: 1,2,3,4” with logic jumps, but can this be hidden from the user?Thanks in advance for any advice! 🙌

I am showing a video from youtube in a survey and I want the respondent to spend atleast 30 seconds on the page with the video link so he/she has 30 seconds to watch the video. How do I make sure that the page is timed for 30 seconds and the respondent doesn’t go to the next page before 30 seconds?

I have two questions. If  I wanted to match answers, In the Type section of Typeform, which option would I select? Can I put my own time limit on quiz, or it that generated automatically?Example of matching show below. Hi, I am trying to create a very simple form with a from name, to name and email, and a message. When people are done filling out the message I’d like the form to automatically email the message they typed to the email in the email field from question 2. I’ve tested it and I’ve never received any emails. What am I doing wrong to make the email field active and emailable? Thanks.

When I create a multiple choice question with different asnwers, typeform assigns default valuesABCDand so on to the answers. Is there a way to to change these values? For example, I like the answers to beABDE

I have a 64 question inventory (all lickert scale 1-10) measuring 21 subscales that I would like to calculate separately. How can I build subscale scores? I have no idea how to do this. And I also like to automize that every participants can get his personal results by e-mail after filling in the inventory. Is it possible to connect such an automation with Active Campaign?  If not what might be other possibilities?

Hey everyone! I think the answer to my question will be straightforward, and probably not the answer I want! We have a form that asks people about their reading habits. One question asks if they’d like to start with questions about fiction or non-fiction.Currently, if they click “non-fiction”, it goes to the next set of questions (non-fiction), followed by the fiction set of questions.If they answer “fiction” first, it skips the non-fiction set of questions and goes on to the fiction set.Is it possible to then go back and answer the non-fiction set?  At the moment, I’ve duplicated the non-fiction set to appear after fiction, but it seems an inefficient way of gathering data.I just wonder if there’s a clever way of branching these questions so that I don’t have two separate identical sets of questions?Thanks!Tom 

Hey,My type form completely freezes/crashes when i preview my form. After some investigation i found out that its due to the large amount of long answers. Is there a limit, and if i reduce amount of answers i can get it to work on desktop view but not on mobile. It seems to have to do with the scrolling i presume.It’ s the same on Safari and Chrome. Thx in advance

Hi! I am trying to upload images to my gallery for my form but the images fail to load and nothing happens. The images are under 4MB and are PNG. Any idea why this might be happening and what to do? 

I’ve made a form with logic jumps and on specific answer this is what the page brings me to, rather than the set logic jump I’ve chosen. I’ve tried the preview form on multiple devices but still brings me to this page...Any idea on the issue? 

Hello,I would like your help to the following..I need to create a poll form, in order to people be able to vote for favourite item. But I want to certify that every person has vote only once and valid.For that reason, I gave them receipts and I put a question (number) and I am asking to put the last two digits of their receipt to the question. How can I set the question to accept only specific numbers/digits/letters? 

If I set-up a multiple choice question, that has to have an answer selected, is there a way depending on the answer it can take you to a certain page. For example, if I answer A or B it will take me to the end page as no further information is required. However if I answer C, you are required to give more information - how an I do this? Can I add an additional page but it only appears when someone answers “C”? I hope this makes some sort of sense to someone. Thank you.
