LiveCall - Is How to View Submissions on the Session?
WOW, I am absolutely blown away by the tech built by the Typeform team with VideoAsk - I’m SO excited to deploy this!I’m especially interested in having my sales team try the “LiveCall” feature - but a few questions:What happens if we get dozens of calls an hour? Is this manageable or is there a scalability issue? We have 4 reps, and they could all be logged in and grab calls when they can When the sales rep does pick up, is there a way for her to be able to view everything that’s been submitted thus far on the VideoAsk? Our videoAsk has the user complete an application for a phone call, and of course the information entered by this point would be helpful for the sales rep.Thank you! How can I track video dropoff and watch times?
I need to track video dropoff and see what % of users make it to certain parts of the video. Vidalytics and Wistia both have a feature that shows you watch rates and % of people that make it to parts of your video. Anyone use other tracking software with videoask to track what % of videos are watched and see exact dropoff?
VideoAsk Product Updates
Hi all 👋I was wondering if the team could give us either an update (or a sneak peek) on what features are coming next to VideoAsk! I check the ‘Product Updates’ page pretty much daily to see what new things are on the horizon 😅I also thought it would be good to have a discussion with other community members around what features/ideas you’d like to see come to the VideoAsk platform?(apologies if there is another thread with this topic - I couldn’t seem to find one)
I really like this product, and have loved the support in setting up that I have gotten. But I have the feeling the product is just not working for me. Currently I have two ask flows, one in Spanish, the other in English. The Spanish flow has an 81% abandonment rate. The English, 76%. I get the daily emails where I see people are clicking the asks all the time. The problem is, they are not converting. I see no impact on my business. Is there a way I can better measure what is going on here?
Was the "Record Your Answer" Button removed?
Has there been a change to the VideoAsk Work Flow that removed the “Record your answer” button? Scenario: When the Open Ended option is chosen and there are two or more options selected (Video, Audio, Text) then the buttons appear to select which option you want to use to answer a question. However, if only the Video Option is available, then the Record Your Answer Button is removed, and the user goes directly to the record option. Is this a bug, or a new work flow? Removing the button for someone to select before recording adds clutter and really doesn’t follow good psychometric principles for Question Answer flow. I really hope this is just a bug, and not a feature. Thanks. Just noticed that in Build mode the Button appears. In live or preview mode, it is missing. I have added screenshots.
More Control Over Contact Form in VideoAsk
I can edit the contact form easily enough using this guide, but I would really like to ask for First Name on the first row and Last Name on the second row, and this is effectively impossible. The only way I can do it is to either:change “Name” to “First Name” and “Product Name” to “Last Name,” but then the contact form is super-janky because the email and phone number fields separate the First Name field from the Last Name field, or ask an open ended (free response) question right before the contact form that is just for “First Name” or “Last Name” and then change the “Name” field to be the other one, but then the collection is super-janky because I am effectively breaking up the contact form into two screensI would love to see more control over the contact form, please!
Is it possible in VideoAsk to have people call me directly on my phone or our 1-800 number? I tried to create a “call us know” button link to our telephone number, but I could not find a way to do it. VideoAsk is excellent for initiating video calls and having end users click a button and make a direct call will help tremendously to increase our direct calls. I ask this here because if it’s not possible, it’s such an excellent feature and a potential game changer for any company with a business running around direct calls to a call center or a persona that receives direct calls from potential clients. If not possible, what are my options to show my telephone?Thanks.Max
LiveCall (video), what about LiveCall (audio)?
I love the LiveCall feature in VideoAsk, such a great feature, but it has one problem for us; it only allows for video calls. Is it possible to have also just audio calls? Not all customers want a video call. Most of our clients are at home, unprepared for a live call, and prefer just an audio call. A video call is a turn-off and they will not press the “video call” now option. If it’s not implemented, it would be great to have it. The feature is already there for video with audio; what about only audio?. I am looking forward to hearing from VideoAsk or the community since this is an important matter for our implementation. Default Collect Contact Info
Hey, y’all. Just putting in a suggestion/feature request for VideoAsk —I would *love* to see an option in Settings to turn on “Collect Contact Info” as a default, so that I don’t have to remember to toggle it on for each, individual video I create. I often forget to toggle it on, so I’m always receiving replies from “Human,” and can’t reply back directly in the same thread, and instead have to create a new thread or just email them back separately. It’s suuuuuper annoying, and seems like it wouldn’t be too hard to implement.Thanks, team!
More Than 3 Choices Do Not Display in VideoAsk Multiple Choice Questions
Hi,VideoAsk appears to only allow a very narrow space at the bottom of the screen for multiple choice questions on a mobile device. This makes it difficult to see a fourth multiple-choice option.Is there something that I can do to make this look better?
Email and Phone Question Types in VideoAsk
I know that I can ask for a participant’s contact information using the contact form, but I really want to create a form that asks for the participant’s contact information AND the participant’s friend’s contact informationI can obviously ask for this using the open ended (free response) question type, but then I lose all of the email and phone validation checking that I really need to scale.Can you please add email and phone question types for VideoAsk like you have for Typeform?
Background color is not showing correctly
I’ve set the background color to Black but it doesn’t show up properly. I’m very frustrated with VideoAsk as what I save to the steps and what I see in the design side is NOT what is showing up on the public-facing live version. I urgently need to get this VideoAsk out to my clients but I can’t seem to get a response. Waiting for Dan to reply with help still. I sent a VideoAsk to him to show proof that this is not working. Help!UPDATE: This issue seems to be specific to when the “Passcode” is added to the VideoAsk. When the passcode is removed then it seems to apply the correct changes and background, but why would it not retain the design elements when a Passcode is added to get into it????
Ability to Change the Order of the Video/Audio/Text options
We don’t have any control over the order in which the options to respond appear. If we really want Video to be the preferred option, we should be able to make that listed first (on the left) and so forth. We can only control which ones appear and then the bigger button for video. Please add ability to reorder the options please.
Changing Contact Form text is not retaining the changes. Help!
I’ve already follow the instructions as provided at https://www.videoask.com/help/how-it-works/4678395283860-can-i-customize-the-contact-form-in-my-videoask and unfortunately it doesn’t work. I updated the default language for the webform in the Language Edit section but the changes do not reflect. In fact, oddly the text disappeared altogether so now there is nothing. Really this is a cumbersome process. First, this should work when the instructions are followed (I tripled checked) and even better yet would be allow people to edit any of the text at the top of the webform more easily right on that VideoAsk step. What am I doing wrong that it won’t hold the changes I’ve made per the instructions?
