Is it only possible to use videos filmed on VideoAsk or can other videos be integrated into the system?

Hi VA Team,I’d like to use and recommend VA as a core tool in my agency/consultancy. However, I haven’t seen any new product updates, major or minor, in quite some time.Also, some of the option seem outdated (for instance, no text overlay formatting options, the video chat page is a dead link, widgets, embed and video players are desktop-first) etc.Is the product just on maintenance at this point or can we expect new features, bug fixes, etc. soon?All information seem to end in 2023 early 2024 as far as I can tell.Regards,DC  

Hei! When i use ?fullscreen and ?justvideo i the code to the movies, they dosent appear the same in every browser.In Chrome its the way it should be, but in Safari and Firefox its not the same. ..Erik  

As in the title, what is the resolution and quality of the videos when I download them from videoask? can't find specs on any feature or pricing pages on in the community. If anyone knows it would be much appreciated.p.s. I need a platform that will ideally give me 1920x1080 video quality from the downloaded testimonial Thanks in advance

In the dashboard I have the ability to export results or our VideoAsk conversations into Excel/csv files and download those to my computer. Is there a way to schedule/automate an export of that information? The current Zapier interface does not appear to provide that same functionality. Thank you.  

Hi there,Just wondering if anyone may be able to provide some insight into whether a date option can be used if I am trying to map fields with HubSpot. I see there is an option for scheduling a meeting. But one of my questions needs to have the date format entered. Just wondering if anyone has encountered this and if their is a work around? Thinking I could give some guidance in a question that asks the person to enter in the text field in the following format (MM/DD/YYYY)? Thanks! Ash

Hi there, I have a problem. The way Videoask is now designed, it is -from what I see- impossible to create some last questions like “I want to stay updated on the project”, “I can be emailed for extra questions”, “My voice can be used in the project” “none of the above”… I need this since I am using it for a research for a theatre project… I needed to put these sentences into answer options, but some of these answer options need to lead to the data collection form, which can only be automated for all the answer options i filled in as mentioned above. But for example for one or two answer options they do not need to be leaded to that form, because it is only linked to these but I do need to make them check a consent box (as is not possible to separate from the contact details collection form). The form further needs to be anonymously. Can someone help me out with this?

hey guys, Not sure if I am missing something but does Videoask actually exist any more? for context I run a marketing agency and we are interested in using video ask and its AI features as part of our services portfolio, but when I went to record a video i couldnt get access to the camera video features and when I checked the blog and X accounts, the last posts were from more than 6 months ago.  Any help or insight would be greately appreciated.

We are writing to ask for support with the following;  After building and sending out our VideoAsk we have discovered that individuals are having issue recording a video on the phone — the prompts are all in place and active including the phone’s permission for camera use, unfortunately what happens is the result is the video portion is frozen or lagging — this has happened multiple times with Iphone 15, IPhone 15 Pro and there have been some results with an iPhone 15 Pro that have worked — so this issue is not consistent.We have tried the following when trying to resolve issue:1. Disabled pop-ups 2. Tried different recording speeds in settings.Nothing has worked to resolve issue.  There does not seem to be any issue recording from a computer, however, we would like people to  have the option to record directly from their phones.We ho

I’d like to include a screen share step in my VideoAsk workflow. The screen share is not going to be an on-screen demo, but more of a presentation.My VideoAsks are embedded at 600px high and 100% width on my website, and I also share the full-screen link. I don’t believe users would ever see a widescreen image. Embedded, it appears to be slightly more vertical than square. On the full screen version, the recording, too, is slightly more vertical than square, since it’s on the left hand panel. That means a screen recording will produce letterboxing above and below the screen in any presentation.Is there a way to do a screenshare with an aspect ratio that makes more sense for how the VA’s are displayed? I can create slides of a certain aspect ratio, but the VA screenshare will put my camera in a circle off to the side - that doesn’t seem like the right solution. I suppose I can record the slides externally and export as a video. If so, is there a suggested aspect

Hello,My business involves emailing people links with VideoAsk questions embedded.  The VideoAsk responses trigger zapier Zaps to kick off other steps.  If I need to do maintenance on the whole stack/process, the best way to ensure no answers come through for a period would be to pause/stop my VideoAsk so no one can submit an answer for an hour or two while I do maintenance.  I am having trouble where to “turn off” or pause a VideoAsk - stop accepting responses.  Can you point me in the right direction?

Once they click Yes, they give permission, how can I get that as proof for the future, in case, they decide to sue, for example. Thanks

The Canada flag's white color in the contact form appears correctly in the setup menu but it appears "transparent" in the videoasks. See example below. Other flags with white color don’t have the problem, just the Canada flag.I hope the team fixes it promptly.  

Hello, the respondent for my videoask uploaded their video response. So the video is 8mins long, the video is not loading and it was buffering. Meanwhile their audio only plays for like 3 mins, then it went silent. Is this issue occuring because of my respondent’s connection issue or is it because of a plan needing to be upgraded and that’s why it causes the issue? I’d be happy if you could assist me on this.

We use a webhook to receive completed VideoAsk responses and process the videos. I’m currently working on a way to retry the processing of the videos, but after a certain amount of time the URLs that originally came with the webhook event give me “403 Forbidden” responses.I’ve attempted replacing the auth token appended to the URLs with a new one from the account settings page but that made no difference.So what’s going on? Does my access to these videos expire after a certain amount of time? How can I get access to them again?

Last year, we built 2 VideoAsk ‘apps’ (one for summer only and one for year round classes). After they were built, we ran through a relatively simple process that created the google sheets to receive the VideoAsk responses. We built google app script to sort, clean, and order the 154 possible responses (per app ‘session’) so we could make the responses actionable for our staff.We turned the summer app off at the end of summer and left the year round app continue - it’s still working today. When we turned on the Summer app again this year, it will no longer connect to google sheets… we have to go through Zapier now and that has NOT been useful. We attempted creating a new sheet and workbook but nothing has worked to date. We have tried to use Zapier, using the documentation about moving ‘special variables’, but it does not work. And, Zapier doesn’t appear to be able to read the 154 questions for me to create 154 special variables.  I can not find documentation to explain a way

I created a webhook and in all requests I get the error:"No response(Invalid Date)".the url is accessible and is responding with an OK for testing purposes.when I copy the payload straight into my code, my script works correctly. apparently the webhook is not being sent.For testing purposes, I created a new form (https://www.videoask.com/XXXXX) with the webhook pointing to pipedream https://XXXXXXX.m.pipedream.net and the error persistsIt worked well until a few days into the project in production.
