VideoAsk conversations

Recently, I posted a question here  that videos, in a VideoAsk, don’t play automatically on iPhones that use the Chrome browser. The implication is that the user needs to click ‘Play’ every time they move to the next step (in addition to clicking to submit their answer to contnue to next step). This compromises the user experience too much, especially in steps where the question is a text overlay, over a Pexels of Giphy. In such instances, the user doesn’t even see the question until they click ‘Play’.I’ve decided to stop using VideoAsk and switch to Typeform until there’s a solution to this issue. In Typeform I will only integrate video in some steps and rely more heavily on text in other steps. If the user only clicks ‘Play’ ocassionaly, it would be OK.My question is, if I cancel my ‘Brand’ subscription to VideoAsk and move to Typeform’s ‘Plus’ subscription, what will happen to my ViseoAsks? i.e. What functionality will they lose? Will their number of steps be limited to 3 steps? Hi,  We use VideoAsk for onboarding + ask our clients various questions regularly. They’re loving it so far. 1 major issue - sometimes our VideoAsk can have a bunch of questions and take quite some time. In case a user is unable to complete it in 1 sitting - our users need to be able to save their progress and resume. How do they do this? Is this an upcoming feature? Can they at least skip questions if they’ve already submitted once? If we capture name + email - can we let them resume progress or skip questions? I know partial submissions are visible in the VideoAsk form folder - but if someone wants to resume - can they input their name/email and resume where they left off? We’re trying to provide an excellent customer experience and if their browser freezes/shuts down or they just need more time before resuming their VideoAsk submission - being unable to save your progress and having to start again from scratch leaves a sour taste.. Is there a way to send out a big VideoAsk in smalle

Hi,After each video users get the choice to click on one of the presented buttons. With that option, I can lead them to (1) another step in the flow, to (2) the end screen and to (3) a URL. That works fine.My question is: I also want to lead them to no other destination. Why? Because I want to add a button with the text ‘I want to see this video again', but when visitors click on that button they get another destination. Is it possible to [Choose a destination => 'Stay on the same page']?Best,Jeroen 

How can I make the video full-screen and have the answer button appear below it?

Hi,For my work I made a Videoask guidance for people to take multiple steps.For this I use the Delay interaction possibility, because we want the users to watch the whole video first, before we show the button that will bring them to the next video.Is there a way to hide the text 'Interaction in XX seconds’, because that confuses our users.Thanks,Jeroen

Hello. I am new to videoAsk and want to use it for a video-based survey. Currently, I can position the prompt answers in one column to the left of the video. I want them to float, so that I can position them in two columns, or above / below/ left / right of the video. Is it possible? Or is there a kind of open code that allows me to do it myself?

I am running facebook ads and was thinking once someone clicks on my ad they will they be sent to the link for my video ask to be collected as a lead then go through the sequence to qualify them to book a consultation. Has any body tried this? If so what were the pros and cons?Any help is greatly appreciated!Kris

I already have the video subtitles for all the languages divided into the given times. But I don't know how to add these subtitles to the video, I tried to duplicate the video and create a video for each subtitle, but when I changed 1, all the others changed too. So I wanted to know how to make the subtitles available, either in separate videos or together.

Hi, We successfully test recorded our VideoAsk workflow in both PREVIEW and LIVE modes at https://app.videoask.com... works great there!But we seem to be having challenges getting our embed to work on our own website using either Chrome or Safari (latest builds of both) on Mac OS 15.2 Sequoia.The embed shows up OK, but fails when we try recording (below).We have the camera and microphone set to “allow” like in the screenshot, and both refreshed the page and restarted each browser, but still get the same errors: Safari:Please enable camera & microphone permissionsNotAllowedError - The request is not allowed by the user agent or the platform in the current context, possibly because the user denied permission.SAFARI - MAC - PERMISSION_DENIED_BROWSER_ERROR Chrome:Please enable camera & microphone permissionsNotAllowedError - Permission deniedCHROME - MAC - PERMISSION_DENIED_BROWSER_ERROR Thinking it’s likely an obvious setting, perhaps in Mac OS itself, that we missed? Any ideas ap

My VideoAsk behaves differently on my PC’s Wiindows web browser (Chorme) versus my iphone Chrome browser.In both cases, the first video starts in autoplay (muted until I press the ‘Play’ button.That’s good. On my PC, all the next videos play automatically without having to press ‘Play’. That’s good.However, in the iphone, every video only starts playing after you press ‘Play’.How can I make the 2nd video (and the ones after it) play automatically, without the ‘Play’ button?

I’m new to Video Ask. I’m interested in learning how to collect video testimonials from clients, by asking 3 questions.Can I just email a link to a client? Hi - is there any way we can get videoask video questions to autoplay?

I'm building out a process to speed up creation of forms (Videoasks). I've consulted the documentation at GetPostman but there are two things I'm having trouble with:Branding - In the Retrieve form by ID action, I can see in the response that there are nested parameters for branding, including branding_id . However, the POST action for new forms does not appear to accept branding_id as a parameter. Is there a way to specify the branding ID of a form (VideoAsk) with the API? Overlay text - In the Retrieve a question action, I am able to see a parameter called “label” which appears to correspond to the overlay text. However, the POST action to Create a question and the PATCH action to Update a question both do not appear to accept “label” as a parameter. Is it possible to specify the Overlay text via the API?

Hi, We are looking to use videoask at a fanzone for visitors to leave messages. We only want them to record a message via the touchscreen webcam and not be able to upload pre recorded files from the mini PC that we will be using. Can we remove the toolbar that appears to the top of the screen before record mode?

I use learndash to run asynchronous global cohorts. I would like to use videoask as a way to:1. Checking in at the beginning of the course by introducing themselves via videoask.The videoask requests them to do a self introduction. I’d like every response to the videoask to show up on the page where the videoask is. 2 Answering questions/sharing comments.Throughout the course I’d like to ask a question via videoask for participants to reply to and be able to see/hear each other’s answers. I have tried using Zapier, but each time a new reply comes in, it over writes previous replies. How can I set this up?

I am trying to use the "redirect to URL" ending to take users from VideoAsk to typeform. I need to be able to drag the hidden variables appended to the VideoASk URL to the TypeformURL, but those are not showing up as options in the Redirect to a URL dropdown. Is there a way to do this?  

I have a Typeform with VideoAsk questions within the form, for example: Questions 4 and 7 out of 10 questions are VideoAsks. The Typeform has a participant_id as a hidden field that lets me identify who answered the form (need this for my application).As you may know, VideoAsk responses are not embedded to the Typeform Response, instead they are saved to VideoAsk. Here is where I want to pass the participant_id so that in my VideoAsk account I can see the ID and identify which participant it came from. Please help :(
