VideoAsk conversations

Hi there.  I am trying to set up a basic zap to upload any videoask response videos to Google Drive.  Any idea why I can’t get any of my VideoAsk response videos to upload to Google Drive?  I have the Zap live, and I have added new responses in VideoAsk, and I have set up many Zaps before, so I generally know what I am doing.  I tried creating the zap from Zapier, and I tried deleting and kicking it off from within VideoAsk. What is the proper ID to use to pull the actual mp4 file of a video response over to Google Drive?  Wondering if I am pulling the wrong item. I have Zapier tech support working on this as well.   Appreciate any assistance.

How do i add a button to the videoask while it’s embedded in the typeform?I saw an example. How do i add the yellow button saying “I’ll record the video”  

Hello community. I am using VideoAsk in Make/Integromat. I was wondering if anyone tried to use a “Watch Form Response” module, but with the Form ID input being provided into the module from another module, rather than specified explicitly.  My issue is that I generate VideoAsks automatically through another Make scenario. For every such added VideoAsk, I also would like to add the “Watch Form Response” scenario, but the Form ID isn’t known at the time “Watch Form Response” is being configured.  I basically need to dynamically feed it the Form ID of the new Videoask, after it has been created. How can this be done? Thank youBoris

Hello.  I have put in variables like email and a question number identifier, into the url as instructed clearly with VideoAsk.  But when I go over to my VideoAsk dashboard, I can’t figure out where to view the variables in the submitted videos.  Contact Email feeds to the name of the video, but where can I view question number? Or any other variable I chose to embed?  Am I just missing it?  

Team, I use both Typeform and VideoAsk. Am I correct in understanding that VideoAsk does not support advance logic (variables) currently?  I’m asking respondents to self-assess in six categories. (6 questions with multiple choice responses).  After they answer those six questions, I’d like to perform calculations based on their answers to determine where they go next.  I know how to do that in Typeform.  It doesn’t appear possible in VideoAsk. Thank you.

Beginning today (or at least we noticed today) we started getting CORS errors from our embedded VideoAsk videos trying to reach https://api.videoask.com/gnikcart. (Reason: CORS header ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ missing). Status code: 200 It’s creating a lot of noise in the console. Is there a way to suppress these tracking attempts?

Hi all 👋 Hope everyone is having a great week so far.I just wanted to share another use for VideoAsk that may be useful to others.I am a co-founder of a recruitment company and since the pandemic, digital identity verification has become commonplace.As part of the compliance process to verify a candidate’s identity - you need to conduct a video interview to ensure that they match the copy of their photo ID.We’ve now started using a 1 question VideoAsk to enable candidates to provide that verification in an asynchronous solo interview.This has freed up hours per week from a compliance point of view!Hope this helps! 🤙

I've been persuading my friend to use videos for their website and spent time today getting a widget set up for their website. However, I’d assumed their website was Wordpress.org but it’s actually a free plan of Wordpress.com. You apparently can’t use plugins or iframe in that plan, so I’m assuming they can’t actually use the widget? Has anyone got any ideas on how to get around it (other than moving to paid plan, we’re trying to get them set up with minimal expenses!)Thanks :) 

Hi We create post our the answer videos in Circle.so (using Zapier, too). The variables are passed perfectly to the iframe and the videos/Audio/texts appear.The problem is when the user visits the page all embedded answer videos start. It’s a bit disturbing when 6+ videos start at the same time.We have already removed the autoplay*; parameter from the iframe but it still plays them automatically when the page loads.Could you give us a hand to resolve this issue? ThanksNathan

Hi all, I’m currently building an app, where user populates a standard form. At the end of the form, he’s asked to record a video by clicking on a button, leading him to a Videoask popup. I would like to make things like this: once he finishes recording, the link will be generated and goes automatically in the form (there’s a field for that). That way, the user does not have to copy/paste the link from Videoask to the form. I was wondering if I won’t get any issue regarding privacy matter, by using the API. Could you help me on that please?

Hi, we’re currently using videoask on our website and we find that the user experience is not that good when it reappears all the time, after minimizing the feature when changing pages or refreshing the page. Is it possible to have it not reappear (after closing it) on our site when a user refreshes or changes the page? thanks

I have a question, by default the person can record 2 minutes, where can I change it to be a maximum of 5 minutes? Thanks a lot!

Hello! I want to be able to pass a user id and some other info through to videoask to get it from the api. I have contact_name and contact_email working but can I pass my own variables? Lets say like user_id etc. 

Question as above - has anyone been able to integrate videoask this way?

Hi all,I recently created a questionnaire with VideoAsk and im currently struggling with a strange problem I can’t see the cause :For the second slide of my questionnaire, the overlay text dont appear on the smartphone of my coworker (he have a iPhone), but strangly, it appear correctly on my smartphone (I have a Samsung), and more strange, this problem only appear for this second slide, all others slide have no problem and overlay text appear correctly on his phone.So im thinking about what can cause this problem ? And why only one slide have it and not the others ? Maybe someone have walk into the same kind of issues one day ? Hi.  I want to post my Video Ask into Miro using the iFrame.  It posts on the Miro board, I can watch the first video, but the buttons in the Video Ask don’t work, which means I can’t go to the next video.  Has anyone had this same problem?

I am just starting out with VideoAsk and want to create a flow that helps focus on the users needs, mainly separating warm from hot leads.  I am a lawyer, and we lawyers have rules about interacting with people who already have a lawyer.  It happens a lot, people have a lawyer for the legal matter I handle, but they are unhappy and want to see “if I will take their case”.  I can’t do that - the bar association considered that unethical client poaching.  So I would love to start my flow with a question on this, and allow only the unrepresented to start with the flow.  I was thinking, could I have a disclaimer type statement, with a check box.  So I the user does not check “I do not have a lawyer” they never can get started.  But would there be a way to have it on a timer, so if they don’t check the box in X seconds, they get an end screen? 

Hello, I am currently converting an analog questionnaire into an online questionnaire with Videoask. This questionnaire/assessment by nature requires responders to write and draw some responses by hand. I am in the healthcare field so these responses cannot be replaced with typed responses. Are there any APIs which integrate with Videoask can receive sketches, doodles, drawings, written sentences, etc? Thank you

We would love to use VideoAsk on our website but we really want to keep our brandfeeling all over the place. Is it possible to give your own sauce to the interface? Or are we very limited? 

Hi - How many brands can you upload and create for the Brand package of Videoask?  We’ve uploaded 3 so far, and it’s still letting us add more.  Anyone know what the limit is? THanks.

I’m trying to collect some data from potential customers. One of the fields we need to provide a pricing estimate is the square footage of their home. Right now, we’re just going to collect the number they tell us and then our customer service team would build a proper quote and email them. But, I can eliminate a couple steps if I can take the square footage number they gave us and and compare it against a google sheet that has the pricing data.I did pose this question direct to videoask, and they did show me a way with conditional logic. However, there are thousands of possibilities of what people could say and using their method and I would need to create each one as an option.We price things in 300 square foot blocks. So if someone’s house is between 1901 and 2200 square feet, the answer would be the same. I could do it with something like VLOOKUP in google sheets, but I don’t know how to integrate that into the videoask (or if it’s even possible).
