Hola from Spain!😉 My name is Ivan. I’m building a very long VideoAsk (we’re an association and it’s the Registration Procedure for new associates) and in some steps they need to ask questions that maybe they will need to look for, taking time, so I was wondering: which is the maximum time session? any option to increase it? once they lost the session, they will need to start all the procedure again or the session will be save? Thx a lot!

I am building a VideoAsk where participants will see a menu of possible subjects to record a video story. But they’ll need to return to the main story menu in order to upload other stories (They need to record at least 5). Yet I’ve found that when a person finishes recording a video from the subejct menu, they do not return to the subject menu but are taken to the Exit screen. Is there any way to fix this?

I use ActiveCampaign as an email tool and want to make my follow-up more efficient with VideoAsk. Very strange behaviour accured today when i opened a new account after a year or more since i last used video ask. After I finished recording I heard some bipping sounds and then the pc stuck. Ans different apps start crushing. It happened twise. After i restarted the computer which is a very high configured, graphic designer setup. It happand again. I dont have a clue what causes this. Maybe somebody could shred some light

We are having an issue where our videoask will restart if it gets close to the time limit. However, its only doing that on mobile. Is there a reason for this?

We use Videoask embedded in our application to allow applicants and employers to exchange questions and answers. Today one of our candidates hit a screen asking her to confirm her email address. Hi--I am attempting to record a video, and hitting something unusual. The record window was flashing on and off, then a new notice window popped up saying it was sending an email to verify my access? Could not complete video recording. This is the first I’ve heard of this and as you can see in the screenshot, there is no email included. It says “We have sent an email to .” Is this a bug? Anyway around it? I’m concerned it’s going to hurt her ability to land the job if she can’t respond to the employer in a timely manner.

Hello there, I'm trying to figuring out the API and I've got some problems. How do I change questions in the form? I mean remove / rearrange. I think this endpoint should do that: https://api.videoask.com/forms/{{form_id}} and I can see that it's being called when I change form from VideoAsk app. But I'm not sure how to do it (what parameters should be passed). So let's assume I have form with questions: [1, 2, 3] If I want to change it to be: [3, 2] What request should I make?

I have 2 videoasks set up - one in English and one in Spanish. The end of the sequence is that they schedule a consultation with me on calendly. I am getting now a lot of notices of interaction and very few appointments set. I wondering about how I can assess what is going on. I would assume we have users abandon the flow. A few questions: The notice of interaction. Is this the page where the user last was? The button -the answer -highlighted: is that the users last interaction? Is there any kind of redirect on abandonment I can do? For example, redirect to a page saying, “would you just rather talk to us by phone?’” or something. is there a way I can better measure abandonment? Thanks

Hi there, I am going to be setting up a large number of Videoasks. Right now, even just testing the software, my email inbox (gmail) is clogged up with “You have a New VIdeoask interaction!” I tried turning off the “Reply notifications” button in the videoask setup, but that seems to have more to do with the respondents getting notified of MY responses if I were having a conversation. Any way to turn off notifications every time someone responds to my Videoask? I don’t need to be notified. I can log in and deal with them in bulk. Thanks for any help.

Is it possible to record in higher quality. Most of the videos we are getting through are pretty grainy and don’t really work for us. We have changed the record mode to upload instead of stream but the wait time is a little long. Any way to stream upload with higher quality upload?

Am looking for any use cases of VideoAsk in DTC e-commerce, in any consumer categories from apparel to electronics. The VideoAsk team mentioned an apparel brand uses VideoAsk on their website, but they couldn’t remember who it was. Any leads would be super helpful. Cheers.

Hi there. I am trying to set up a basic zap to upload any videoask response videos to Google Drive. Any idea why I can’t get any of my VideoAsk response videos to upload to Google Drive? I have the Zap live, and I have added new responses in VideoAsk, and I have set up many Zaps before, so I generally know what I am doing. I tried creating the zap from Zapier, and I tried deleting and kicking it off from within VideoAsk. What is the proper ID to use to pull the actual mp4 file of a video response over to Google Drive? Wondering if I am pulling the wrong item. I have Zapier tech support working on this as well. Appreciate any assistance.

How do i add a button to the videoask while it’s embedded in the typeform? I saw an example. How do i add the yellow button saying “I’ll record the video”

Hello community. I am using VideoAsk in Make/Integromat. I was wondering if anyone tried to use a “Watch Form Response” module, but with the Form ID input being provided into the module from another module, rather than specified explicitly. My issue is that I generate VideoAsks automatically through another Make scenario. For every such added VideoAsk, I also would like to add the “Watch Form Response” scenario, but the Form ID isn’t known at the time “Watch Form Response” is being configured. I basically need to dynamically feed it the Form ID of the new Videoask, after it has been created. How can this be done? Thank you Boris

Hello. I have put in variables like email and a question number identifier, into the url as instructed clearly with VideoAsk. But when I go over to my VideoAsk dashboard, I can’t figure out where to view the variables in the submitted videos. Contact Email feeds to the name of the video, but where can I view question number? Or any other variable I chose to embed? Am I just missing it?

Team, I use both Typeform and VideoAsk. Am I correct in understanding that VideoAsk does not support advance logic (variables) currently? I’m asking respondents to self-assess in six categories. (6 questions with multiple choice responses). After they answer those six questions, I’d like to perform calculations based on their answers to determine where they go next. I know how to do that in Typeform. It doesn’t appear possible in VideoAsk. Thank you.

Beginning today (or at least we noticed today) we started getting CORS errors from our embedded VideoAsk videos trying to reach https://api.videoask.com/gnikcart. I believe this is some kind of event tracking that the embedded video player is trying to trigger. trackSharingPageEvent CancelledRequestError: NetworkError when attempting to fetch resource. trackCustomError: ignoring [TRACK SHARING PAGE EVENT] CancelledRequestError Object { event: "ab_test", authorId: "...", properties: {…} } CancelledRequestError: NetworkError when attempting to fetch resource. g index.js:141 k _app.js:197 c custom-errors.js:96 y request.js:126 Cross-Origin Request Blocked: The Same Origin Policy disallows reading the remote resource at https://api.videoask.com/gnikcart. (Reason: CORS header ‘Access-Control-Allow-Origin’ missing). Status code: 200 It’s creating a lot of noise in the console. Is there a way to suppress these tracking attempts?

Hi all 👋 Hope everyone is having a great week so far. I just wanted to share another use for VideoAsk that may be useful to others. I am a co-founder of a recruitment company and since the pandemic, digital identity verification has become commonplace. As part of the compliance process to verify a candidate’s identity - you need to conduct a video interview to ensure that they match the copy of their photo ID. We’ve now started using a 1 question VideoAsk to enable candidates to provide that verification in an asynchronous solo interview. This has freed up hours per week from a compliance point of view! I've been persuading my friend to use videos for their website and spent time today getting a widget set up for their website. However, I’d assumed their website was Wordpress.org but it’s actually a free plan of Wordpress.com. You apparently can’t use plugins or iframe in that plan, so I’m assuming they can’t actually use the widget? Has anyone got any ideas on how to get around it (other than moving to paid plan, we’re trying to get them set up with minimal expenses!) Thanks :)
